Tools to have when working on a computer

The following list of tools is in order of importance, according to our opinion. Ideally, any technician that goes onsite to repair or troubleshoot computers should have most if not all, of the below tools. However, most situations do not require all of these tools at the same time, so we have broken the list into sections to help identify the tools you need for each job.

Tip: When purchasing any screwdriver try to avoid any screwdriver that uses magnets to hold in the tips and instead purchase screwdrivers that use ball bearings to hold in the tips.

The first mechanical computer, created by  Charles Babbage  in  1822 , doesn't really resemble what most would consider a computer today.
